Bio

Growing up on the South Shore of Boston, Steve became interested in music in high school. He joined a local motown band and began studying piano and saxophone more seriously.   In 1997 he joined the R&B band Sugarcoat, writing music for the band and arranging the horn section parts. Sugarcoat played all over the Northeast and was nominated for a Boston Music Award in 2001 in the best R&B/Funk Band Category before it ended it's run in 2002.

Since then, he has been a free-lance musician, playing gigs with many different groups in many different genres. From fill in gigs, to sold out shows performing with Dave Matthews Band bassist Stefan Lessard and Bare Naked Ladies vocalist Ed Robertson in Yukon Cornielius, Steve has played a wide variety of styles and to many different audiences.

Some of the acts he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with are Blues Traveler, The Wailers, Guster, Mute Math, Eve 6, The Bare Naked Ladies, and Jeffrey Gaines. He has also played at many of the largest venues in New England including The Tweeter Center, The Roxy, The Orpheum, and The Maine Center for the Arts.
